Rosemont Winery is located in La Crosse Virginia all the way down near the border with North Carolina. It got its current name in 1890 when a surveyor's (French) wife made the suggestion based on the two railway lines that crossed through the town. That railway has been gone since the 90’s and if we are being totally honest we think of La Crosse as the “place where Rosemont wines are made.” The Monticello AVA and the NOVA wine regions are the most familiar to folks coming through the shop for Virginia wines, but we are always happy when we can introduce them to Rosemont. This rosé is one of our favorites every year. Made from Chambourcin, it is full of ripe pink and tart red fruits and zippy acidity. It is a delight.
