Cantine Colosi Nero d'Avola Sicilia

Cantine Colosi is located on Salina, an island in the Aeolian archipelago just north of Sicily.
The winery was established in 1987 though the families’ wine making history goes another generation back from that time. They produce only indigenous varieties both from their own vineyards on the island and from long standing relationships with Sicilian grape growers as well.
This Nero D’Avola is a result of those collaborations. Nero d’ ’Avola (aka Calbrese) is perhaps the most well known of the Sicilian red grapes. This wine offers ripe fruits (cherry, blackberries and more) and is the perfect thing for whatever hearty and richly flavored winter meals you have planned.
