Our Spring Sampler case has a few of our favorite wines for this time of year!
3x Sparkling
3x Rose
2x Blanc
4x Red
Oriol Rossell Sparkling Cava - sourced from four vineyards on the family estate and aged for 20 months, this is crisp and dry with tight bubbles and a pleasing toastiness.
Mary Taylor Frizzante - hailing from the home of that other Italian bubbly, this is a sustainably-produced blend with light bubbles and the lightest hint of finishing sweetness.
Picpoul de Pinet - super light and crisp, this grape, roughly translating to "lip-smacker!", coming from coastal France is made for those warm, lazy Saturday afternoons.
Letrinquer Gascogne Blanc - open this blend of classic southern French grapes and you'll be joining the dance of the butterflies (it'll make sense when you see the label!)
Letrinquer Rose - if you're not sitting by a pool when you drink this, then at least you'll immediately think that you are. And sometimes that's enough, right?
Bellevue Touraine Rose - mostly Cab Franc and Gamay coming from the heart of Loire, this is a classic coming from four generations of wine makers!
Les Genestras Cotes du Rhone - made by the a women-run cooperative in Rhone (that focuses on organic farming), this is an unfiltered, unfined GSM blend with a touch of Counoise, an indigenous oddity that brings a pleasantly spicy touch to the wine.
Vajra Rosso - a Piedmontese treat! A red blend of the native grapes of the region, this is a shop favorite. Herbaceous and zippy yet balanced with red and blue fruits.
Piauger Le Grange Cotes du Rhone - Four generations of grape growers led to actual wine making in the mid 80's. Which is great (for us) because this wine is great! Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Carignan are organically farmed, fermented with native yeasts, and lightly filtered before bottling. Peppery and (dark) fruity packed into a medium-bodied knockout.
