Château Peybrun Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux
Catherine de Loze took over winemaking at Château Peybrun in Cadillac from her father after he died in 1985. She immediately stopped the use of herbicides and pesticides and shifted to full organic production. She produces just two wines – this red and a very traditional sweet wine. Fermented with native yeast and aged in concrete for 18 months, this Bordeaux has been one of our store staples. We recently re-tasted it and fell in love with it all over again. As the leaves swirl around outside the window, this wine seems like just the thing! Lovely dark fruits, earthy notes and soft tannins.
(80% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc)
