Afton Mountain Bacco
Vines were first planted on the vineyard that is now Afton Mt in 1978. Charlottesville natives Elizabeth & Tony Smith purchased the vineyard in 2009 and renamed it in honor of the mountain on which the vines grow. The vineyard now consists of 26 acres planted to 11 different varieties. We are featuring the Bacco red blend which won this year's Governors Cup Gold. It is a medium-full bodied, plumb red, full of dark fruits and it is perfect wine for these fall evenings!
